Data & Account Deletion
Last updated 30 August 2026.
Deleting your account
From Settings, you can delete your account yourself, at any time. This removes your business profile and everything about it; every generated post, image, campaign and proposed ad; the text extracted from your uploaded documents and everything Evolamate learned about your business from them; your competitor research; your inbox, leads and advisor history; your connected social-account tokens; and your usage and cost history. Your login is then deleted.
If any part of this can't be completed, deletion stops and tells you rather than reporting success that didn't happen. Your account stays intact and you can safely try again.
Removing one thing without deleting your whole account
You don't have to delete your entire account to remove a single uploaded document: do that from the Business page. This immediately removes every fact learned from that document and stops Evolamate using it for any new content. You can also delete your inbox, leads and advisor history on their own from Settings, and remove individual facts, competitors or photos wherever they appear. Posts already published are not rewritten; they are what was actually published.
What is kept, and for how long, even after you delete your account
We'd rather tell you plainly than let you assume everything simply vanishes.
- Posts already published to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Google are on your own account at that platform. Deleting Evolamate doesn't remove them there; you control that directly.
- Stripe's own billing records (invoices, payment history) are retained by Stripe under its own compliance obligations. We cancel your subscription, but we don't control Stripe's record retention.
- Backups. Our database provider keeps automated daily backups of the database for disaster-recovery purposes, in Australia, retained for 7 days. A backup taken before you delete your account still contains your data until it ages out. Generated media in storage is not part of those database backups.
- Contact and support messages. If you contacted us, whether or not you ever had an account, that message is kept for 24 months from when you sent it, then deleted automatically, or sooner if you ask us to remove it and we can verify the request is really from you.
What restoring a backup could mean
Because a deleted account can still exist in a backup up to 7 days old, restoring that backup in a disaster-recovery scenario could, in principle, bring back an account you had deleted. If that ever happened we would re-apply your deletion.
