Connecting Facebook and Instagram

Evolamate publishes to a Facebook Page and to the Instagram business account linked to that Page. Your logins don't need to match — the link between the Instagram account and the Page is what matters, and you set it up once. Ten minutes, start to finish.

Part 1 — A Facebook Page for your business

Already have a Page? Skip to Part 2.

  1. 1

    Create the Page

On facebook.com, click your profile photo → See all profiles → Create Page. Give it your business name, a category and your details.

Part 2 — An Instagram business account

You can convert an existing account or create a brand-new one just for the business — both work, and you can do it on your phone or laptop.

  1. 1

    New account (optional)

On instagram.com or in the app, sign up with your business email so it stays separate from your personal profile.
  2. 2

Switch it to a professional account

Profile → menu → Settings and privacy → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account → choose a category → pick Business.

Part 3 — Link Instagram to your Facebook Page

  1. 1

    From your Facebook Page's settings

On facebook.com, switch into your Page (profile photo → See all profiles) → profile photo → Settings & privacy → Settings → Linked accounts → Instagram → Connect account.
  2. 2

Log in with the Instagram account

A secure Meta window asks for the Instagram login — use the business account's credentials (this is why different logins are fine). Approve, confirm any emailed code, and the two are linked.
  3. 3

    Or from the Instagram side

Instagram → Edit profile → Page → choose your Facebook Page. Same result.

Part 4 — Connect both to Evolamate

  1. 1

    Channels → Connect

In Evolamate, open Channels and press Connect on the Facebook or Instagram card — one connection covers both.
  2. 2

    If Facebook says "Continue as..."

Choose "Edit settings", not Continue. Edit settings is where you pick which Page (and its Instagram account) to grant — Continue silently reuses whatever you chose last time.
  3. 3

    Done

The cards show "Connected as [your Page]" and "@[your Instagram]". Every approved post now publishes to both automatically at its scheduled time. You can Disconnect either at any time from the same page.

Common issues

  • "No Instagram business account is linked" — the Instagram account is still Personal, or isn't linked to the Page yet. Finish Parts 2 and 3, then connect again using Edit settings.
  • Connected the wrong Page — press Connect again and choose Edit settings to change the selection.
  • "Published by Evolamate" on your posts — only Page admins see that label; your audience never does.
